The Price of Love an online presentation of a real life sketchbook by Jeanette Powers 0-15 16-30 31-45 This sketchbook was started on May 13, 2005 in the spirit of exploring love and its freedoms, restrictions, highs and lows. It is not an autobiography, although I do feel more comfortable using my own image to illustrate ideas. One character worth mentioning is "The Alien" on page 7. She is my representation of Plato's ideas of consciousness as two opposing forces pulling for control of the will. The "love your job" pages are authentic, made at work by my coworkers and myself, any resemblence to real people is purely coincidental (wink-wink). I do love my job at the little local diner where I work, full of the hilarious absurdity that is human. "The Price of Love" is sketchbook #18 in my collection. copyright 2005 * Jeanette Powers more info e-mail
